Richard Davies
Richard, a Solicitor-Advocate (All Higher Courts) and accredited Mediator, is the firm's founder.
Having cut his teeth in the legal world as a solicitor conducting contentious cases to trial with a Legal 500 firm, in 2004 Richard decided to specialise as a general practice lawyer. He says "specialise" because general practice is increasingly rare: most lawyers are now pigeon-holed into 1 area of law with the result that clients are passed from one lawyer to the next, and there is little opportunity to develop the client/solicitor relationship - let's face it most of us do not litigate very often, but we might need a solicitor for various one-off matters such as a Will, divorce, probate, house sale, dispute, power of attorney etc, and for which you need someone you can trust. So Richard established Davies Solicitors to be able to help clients with all their legal matters, from "cradle to grave"; and since 2004 that is exactly what he has successfully been doing. As such Richard's breadth of experience really is invaluable to our clients; it ensures the firm's reputation continues to grow; and the client/solicitor relationships built up over the years as a general practitioner prove far more emotionally rewarding than those restricted to just litigating ever were.
To meet our clients' needs Richard is supported by his very able team. In the office Richard is assisted by his trainee legal executive, Joseph Payne; his office manager, Marina Kuntsevskaya; and his son and paralegal, Daniel Davies. Externally, Richard is assisted by specialist legal typists, Outsec; telephone receptionists, Moneypenny; and tax accountants, HSA accountants.
